OK, thanks to all who replied. In the end, he decided to go with the Moto G, which has just arrived and is currently keeping him very quiet, as he tries to get to grips with it.

I will recommend you Samsung Galaxy series …u can even choose the basic versions of it if u have a tight budget . Samsung phones are quiet reliable compared to other smart phone brands . BDW why don’t u consider buying a second hand smartphone ? U can get all sort of new advanced cellphones at quiet less rates !
