CSS - Test Your CSS Skills Number 31 - iphone

Thanks Paul. Your little fix for the overlap helps me understand a little better how it all works… but there are lots of concepts to absorb here!

I don’t find that simple code works too well in Firefox either, as the green box expands in width when it drops. Anyway, I’m not feeling so bad now, because I was feeling really stupid not being able to figure out how to do it. Yours and Yuri’s source-order solutions are very impressive.

Sorry about the mis-information about iPhone emulators. The link you posted seemed to lure me into an expensive developer signup process, which is not any use to me.

http://phonegap.com/ and http://www.appcelerator.com/ are some other open-source projects which could simulate the browser. Their real purpose is in building native phone controls like lists and buttons but they include a web browser type control that you can render a page in which I imagine would be the same as Safari would render.

I just signed up for the whole thing as I couldn’t see a way to get just the iphone emulator. It’s quite a heavy download I agree but I have plenty of disk space:) The emulator works great though and acts like the real thing in most respects.

The links mark posted above look interesting also.
