As an Ubuntu user, I find the whole idea of using search for launching applications to be the worst thing-- searching all freaking files for a single program is slow, slow and slow. Did I mention slow? I can type in the name and wait and if I hit Enter too early I get “nothing found”, even though I know the program exists. Arg.
Also, if I type in “Opera” and hit Enter too fast, for some reason some Nightwish music (Phantom of the Opera) gets found earlier, and launches my music player and starts playing. Has happened to me in public with speakers full-on
