2 IPs and 3 Domains

Hi,

I have 3 domains and 2 IP’s. I am trying to make my setting like this

IP 1 only dedicated to Dom1.

IP 2 only dedicated to Dom2 and Dom3.

I did try to define as i define the ips in my virtual hosts tags for the domains but what happens that

If i type Dom1.com then Dom2.com opens and if i type Dom3.com it opens Dom2.com i.e. setting totally get wrong.

I know its not that hard and i am just making a small mistake

But need help for this.

Thanks

us,

OS? That would help.

For my test server, I use 127.0.0.1 for all domains because I don’t want external access to them. EACH test domain opens with its own files as specified by the httpd-vhosts.conf directives (and hosts file, too, of course). For the production server, I use the DNS functions the host provides with WHM/cPanel but with the fore knowledge that each IP Address seems to require its own cPanel and only one “master domain” is allowed per IP Address (addon’s are added as subdomains of the “master domain”).

A little more information from you might cut through any confusion here.

DK

Hi,

Well i make it working from apache website http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.1/vhosts/examples.html examples for IP Based virtual hosts.

The server was a CentOS and dedicated one (no cpanel or anyother thing).

You are right about the DNS too as it need to be set with the IP’s I want to use.

Thanks
