I have a question. The 5-for-1 sale mentions that it includes the Kindle format for all of the books included. However, if you download the free sample, it is just a .pdf sample, which is not properly formatted for a Kindle.
I assume the Kindle version is more appropriately formatted (specifically, it needs bigger text), but I would hate to buy only to find out that the Kindle versions are just direct ports of the .pdfs.
Are there any samples of ANY of the books for the Kindle format? I would just like to see how you guys format the Kindle versions before I make any purchase decisions.
Yeah, that was the general consensus I got from email support, too, although he did not mention the guarantee–seems like a pretty good selling point.
My main concern was just whether they books had been appropriately re-formatted for the devices. It’s good to hear that they have, and I will probably have to shell out for the sale.
I am curious–does this apply to individual books from the sale? I know it’s only $6/book, and I am mostly happy with my selections, but I have to say: Simply Javascript is absolutely terrible. So much so that I want to “return” it just out of spite to the author. There is no reason you should get 100 pages into a programming book without writing any actual code…
