We've spent a bit of time in the staff forums looking at some of our rules and having a think about relaxing some of the ones that may be punishing the masses for the sake of a few misbehavers. One of those rules is the one that prohibits you from sharing cool things that you've done with the community. I like the idea of people being able to show off what they are working on, especially if it is something that will add value for those of you that invest time here at the forums.
So... I'm kicking off this new initiative by inviting @phankinson; to share something that he's been working on at GoInstant.
I'll let him take the stage when he's back online.
If you would like to have a thread featuring your latest project, please PM US and tells us something about it.
Thanks a lot @HAWK. We are really excited to be apart of the SitePoint community even though we are new!
We'd like to give SitePoint users a sneak peek of what GoInstant has been working on since being acquired by Salesforce. For those of you who don't know GoInstant, we are a platform for developers to add collaborative experiences into any application, with end-to-end security, realtime messaging, state storage and more.
To give you a better idea of what GoInstant is all about, the team built an example to showcase a realtime, multi-user experience with Google Maps. As you move the map on one screen it syncs in real-time to the other screen.
Another example is a multi-user presentation app using GoInstant + Reveal.js which you can see at: http://gordienoye.github.io/go-reveal/#/
We are looking for feedback from SitePoint users on two things which have not been released yet Widgets and Integrations. Widgets provide you out-of-the-box functionality on top of GoInstant’s platform; you just drop them in, customize them to your app and you’re done! We’re launching a few widgets to start, including user list, notifications, click/scroll indicators and more... On the Integration front, we’re launching support for AngularJS, which will make it incredibly easy to add realtime collaboration with GoInstant to any AngularJS app.
If you'd like to help us out you can sign up with the following link:
Any feedback would be great otherwise!
Just a quick update for anyone interested!
We just added Angular.js support, you can see the docs at: https://developers.goinstant.com/v1/GoAngular/index.html
Feedback definitely appreciated.
