A former employee of mine joined gmail with my domain name. How do I get it back?

I would like to use my domain name@gmail, for myself. Google gave me a code to add as a Cname and instructed me to point it to Google. The results should be back by now. They said this would prove that I own the domain name. Is there another step I need to take?

Hi KEYSTONEMERCH. Welcome to the forums.

If I were you, I’d sign up for a Google Apps account. It’s not very expensive (used to be free, but no longer, unfortunately), and allows you to have email addresses at your domain name (e.g. you@yourdomain.com), even though you are still using GMail. Much nicer ffrom a business point of view that having an @gmail address.
