A simple JavaScript "LightBox" that displays text rather than images?

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone knows of a simple, stable, javascript “Lightbox” that displays text rather than images. A while back someone at this forum told me about Slimbox which works well for images - but now I need a way to do the same thing with text. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure out of the box with Slimbox, bou certainly can do that with text in other lightbox galleries. Have a look at the “Various Examples” on the Fancybox page:

I think Colorbox is also set up to do the same (http://www.jacklmoore.com/colorbox), as well as Shadowbox (http://www.shadowbox-js.com/) and Facebox (http://defunkt.io/facebox/) and Hislide (http://highslide.com/).
