A5 Print Magazine Advice

Hi, I’m glad I have found this forum, the place is loaded with advice and experiences with web design, and I will come back in the near future as my magazine project gets given an online presence.

I want to start a local A5 ‘printed’ magazine, the freely available type, with 50% editorial/50% ads.

Can anyone point me to any useful forums where local ‘print’ magazine editors discuss their print magazine issues (sorry!), and share tips on starting up, improving their magazines, advice on printing/distribution/getting advertising and the like? I am located in the UK but local A5 mags are pretty universal, so based and about anywhere as long as it’s in English.

What another A5 mag, I already get 3 a month :wink:

I’ve never seen any specific forums but you could try http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/ which has several discussions about printed magazine, I also found http://www.blurb.co.uk which is worth a look (also has a forum!).

Don’t let that stop you posted here in General discussions, there are no doubt a few people here with print experience…
