Advice and Inspiration for designing a Wordpress Theme for tourism

Good day,

I’m looking for ideas or insights on where to start in designing a Wordpress theme. I’m still a newbie and student in web designing and would like to ask for some advice or directions regarding my project. I’m already familiar with HTML, CSS and a little bit of Wordpress.

This will be my first time in designing a wordpress theme from scratch. Just want to where to start or seek inspiration for beginners. Do i tackle content first? Design or just find a theme and manipulate it to my liking.

It’s preferable to start with the content, of course, but that doesn’t stop most theme designers. :rolleyes:

You can get a lot of inspiration from looking at the work of others, or perhaps from a book like this:

I’m still trying to figure out where to start first. I guessing browsing the web might help me find a good theme and some ideas
