oh, and I almost forgot - congratulations to the five winners of the $200 SPF gift certificates. They were drawn from random from the list that finished the voting, and had their email addresses verified (there were a couple which got disqualified because they didn’t know their own email addresses). Congratulations to all winners, and thank you for giving me a shiny badge again
A lot of people contribute here on SitePoint, I am so very grateful for the knowledge that is given so freely by you all, I have learned from all members really. The people who are asking the questions are important to this forum as well, and often one question leads to the next answer that solves another question.
So to all members: thank you
And to SitePoint: thank you for making this all possible
To Dave: a huge thank you for doing all this
Congrats to everyone, esp logic_earth, PHP Guru well deserved.
And big thanks to those of you that nominated me for that too.
I can only think you must have been really short of candidates - I was really shocked.
“It is in giving we receive” is doubly true on Sitepoint, and has up to now at least, been the only way I have felt able to “give something back” to the OSS community which has changed my life so much for the better.
Last year I was nominated for Community Spirit award too - for both nominations I feel really proud and humbled.
