Are you against of porn websites or not?

Well, I would say that the half of web resources are porn websites, there are thousands or even millions websites with adult content. And it is free to visit for all. And I am very regret that search engines like google, yahoo and others give results of it … so even children may visit very easy.
Personally I am against of that, because I heard a lot of stories that addiction of viewing it destroyed relations of many couples!
So what do you think of this issue?

I doubt that’s true. But it doesn’t matter whether you like what’s on the web or not, because it’s there and you can’t change that.

Children shouldn’t really be surfing without internet filtering software or parental supervision and the so-called mainstream Social media sites are just as bad at corrupting their minds. Children shouldn’t really be into those types relationships anyway.

Though if an adult decides to visit a legal site then they should be more than capable and responsible of deciding if they want to view the content.

Those with feeble minds might get addicted but the odds are they already have such an innate disposition and susceptibility that they would find other forms of media to satisfy their cravings anyway.

Assuming it is free, which I very much doubt. Then it would mean that they [visitors] aren’t funding such websites with revenue to grow in which case not fuelling more of those types of sites. If there is a market it will sell, whether illegal or legal.

If parents have the correct setup for the home pc then it should not be a problem and in theory children wont be able to view adult related sites,i have nothing against them as i have many myself as they are very good revenue earners hence this is why i have some in my website portfolio and yes they are recession proof.
Are they morally wrong its not for me top say really religion, culture, politics all can dictate anything really as long as my sites are ‘legal’ adult sites i will still continue to own them.

As the others have said, there are VERY simple ways to avoid accessing content you find objectionable. There are safe search parameters on most search engines - simple software packages which can be used to limit access to the general user.

If you’re worried about the children accessing it - that’s the pervue of the parents. My children are NEVER online without permission, and they only can visit a site if I’ve visited it before. They do not have computers, TVs or game systems in their rooms - they are all where I can see what they are doing. They do not have access to a computer without me or my wife unlocking the system first. Heck, I restrict what movies and games they play based on the ratings on them - and I get grief as there are other parents who allow their kids to see and play things which I don’t think are appropriate for their age. But that’s my job - I’m the parent.

I might think a lot of porn sites are gross but I’m all for the right for them to exist.

They have the right to exist, they are legal, and they are here to stay.

Is it socially responsible to build, manage, and promote porn sites for the money? Not for me.

Porn sites have recently been banned in our country. Its a very good decision. It should totally be banned. I mean not accessible by any mean of proxy bypass, etc.

Interesting I heard rumours Pakistan Telecommunication Authority were also to possibly consider banning 1500 English words via SMS and over 500 in Urdu. I suspect the ban on such sites was because of the large amount of surfers that were searching for extreme material even though I was under the impression the subject content was illegal over there anyway regardless of it being online.

I don’t support porn site’s. These sites are making abuses our time also children. Some sites kill money via credit card !

I also would like to aks! Why do people visit such sites? Just interest? Addicition? or sick?

Supposedly some visitors view such content for arousal or curiosity purposes the topic matter they are viewing may also be totally clothed - assuming we are not talking literature but images. Though the topic area is far too vast and wide so I cannot really give informative comments as to “why” or what satisfaction a viewer gets.

Obviously some of the depictions can be quite depraved or considered pretty none conventional; it probably would go beyond the scope of the SPF discussion boundaries anyway… Though a striptease is not classed as such content even if it’s complete instead of partly.

Obviously the UK was the first to have laws criminalising the subject in 1857 and the famous Hicklin test: “whether the tendency of the matter charged as obscenity is to deprave and corrupt those whose minds are open to such immoral influences.”

As long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, why would you care what they’re doing?

100% agree, you’re not alone mate. I just installed ‘Netnanny’ on my kids PC to check it out as one of my kids is getting a laptop for christmas and we’re considering letting her use it in her room, unsupervised.

“True and reliable discipline comes not from repression, but understanding all the whys and wherefores of our actions” - a Dali Lama

Sadly, such a utopian ideal is completely unworkable across a spectrum as wide as the one we’re talking about.
Restriction discourages self discipline; but completely unrestricted more often than not results in destruction before the process finishes. One of those insolubilities of life.

In the end, I like pr0n. I think it has an odd transcendental spirituality to it to be honest. And it makes my nethers happy!

I’m not against porn, but I don’t look at it anymore. I got too many viruses on my last computer from it lol I think its better to have an attractive partner, and be in a long term relationship. I’m starting to become a bit old fashioned in my old age lol

YES! I totally agree with it, it really ruined the youngsters!

I hate to watch porn and i am totally against it cause most of the teenagers destroy their life…
i don’t know why people make such a pornography. they also have some more interesting topic to do some business…? right?

Mostly I don’t care. I do care that all participate should be under the know and allow rule. No running around secretly taping girls on spring break and posting. No popping up on screens unwanted.

Adults can control activities of their children by viewing regulary history of a browser or recently closed tabs on firefox for example.

Heh heh, any savvy kid will quickly learn you can clear out that data.
