Auto backup of mysql and home (root) of a website

Hello,

Kindly suggest safe and secure scripts

  1. For MySQL backup
  2. For Root / Home of the website

Since I do not want to backup files every hour, I need this script separately. I’ll setup 2 CRONS one that runs every hour to take the DB backup and one that runs only once a day for fiels.

I found one such great link but it takes backup of entire CPANEL:

if you are using cpanel there is a daily backup option which backs up home directory and mysql databases, look under the “files” section once logged in
