When looking at webhosts to choose, when you see their advertised bandwidth, is that per year, per month, per week?
Bandwidth is usually quoted in MBPS, so per âsecondâ would be the normal answer. Or are they stating a total volume of data that can be downloaded? Mb or Gb would be normal for that, and Iâd usually expect that to be quoted as a monthly limit, which would generally align to how often they bill you. Do you have a link that youâve been looking at? That will make it easier to give a complete answer.

No specific hosts, just in general really.
When looking at hosts âbandwidthâ usually refers to âmonthly bandwidthâ and usually even says it that way rather than just âbandwidthâ, but some just go by the latter. It will range between 200gb to 5TB to âunlimitedâ or âunmeteredâ. Itâs very hard to find a decent host with unlimited/unmetered, 500gb to 2TB should be plenty for most uses.
Most hosts have monthly bandwidth listed. Some also list the connection speed, which can be referred to in a number of different ways, but will always be quantified by âper secondâ. Most connection speeds will be 100mbps or 1gbps, but can be much lower if not specifically listed.
Thank you very much.
