I was trying to view SEO traffic data in Google Analytics. However, I get a message saying that my GA account has to be synced with my Google Webmaster. Why is this? And maybe it’s just me, but I know there are some sites where I can view the SEO data w/o having to sync it with GWMT. Anybody know why there’s a discrepancy?

Not sure about the other sites you were looking at but in order to view SEO data (or in other words the queries that are triggering your pages in search) you must link the Analytics account with a webmaster tools account. By default, analytics is not linked to webmaster tools.
