About the event:
The Challenge 24 is an annual international 24-hour programming contest, which in the past 14 years became one of Europe’s most renown and prestigious programming events. Like in previous years, the event is organized by the Electrical Engineering Students’ Hungarian Association, under the main sponsorship of SAP Hungary Ltd (www.sap.hu).
The participants can work with their own computers, which provides them the environment that fits them the most. The contestants are allowed to use any tools, platforms, operating systems, or written materials during both the qualifying round and the on-site final. Naturally, the usage of any external help during the contest is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated.
Every year, the problem set is created by former finalists, this way ensuring, that the contestants are given interesting and difficult tasks concerning real world problems. They will need various IT skills to solve them, such as a knowledge of computer networks, computer graphics, algorithm theory, artificial intelligence.
Of course, fast and precise coding, and effective teamwork are essential.
