Create a PHP Upload File - Progress bar in simple most

Hi everyone

I am a Vietnamese - I live in Viet Nam

I am a beginner, I am not good, I need to learn to make a living

Hopefully people will support PHP programming knowledge so that I can develop

  • the team leader assigned to do a file upload progress bar in PHP

I tried to learn but only people that should have Python, Perl or use upload_progress.dll (extension in php) or simply upload is to use swf plugin available

in my country the infrastructure is not good - people usually do not use the Flash Player installed - so I can not plan any SWF file

I do not call, I was taught and I do not have time to learn Python or Perl anymore - at least at the present time

The only hope you have a way of doing file upload progress bar in real time by just using PHP, Java Script and CSS

I use Vertrigo server in my local system (prior to the completion and up to the server at the request of the clien - I used to run and test)

Do a Google search for “PHP AJAX File Upload Progress Meter”. The first and second site(s) that come up have good instruction and demonstration on how to use Ajax + PHP for an upload progress bar. They are not very fancy and are kind of old, but they should work just fine. There is not a very simple way to do this without using flash.

You can also search for “PHP jQuery upload” in Google.

At a minimum your site visitors will need to have JavaScript enabled on their browsers. Remember, having the progress bar will not solve any issues with connectivity. If the connection times out or the file is too big, the upload can still fail. The methods above are not a solution to that problem.
