Custom fields in a wp page. can they contain images

hello all:
was wondering what I could get way w/putting into a custom field in a wp page? Are they limited to strings or could I use them for images as well.
(my money is on no…but i can always hope)

sure you can insert an image on a custom field… there is 2 ways to use that, a plugin called advanced Custom Fields : Link or by using a function… here is an example : [URL=“http://www.kriesi.at/archives/how-to-use-wordpress-custom-fields”]Link

so far put this in the value custom field

<img src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/imgs/image.jpg" alt="paulett eberhart"/>

didn’t fly will test it/an outside url. see what haps
