My customer told me today, he is interested in building a match.com site, and ask how much, all the sudden, I don’t know what to tell him, i do not want to get into too much technical terms, he won’t understand it anyway.
anybody have any good way deal customer like this?
I’m not sure I see the problem with his request, other than the broadness of the scope?? It sounds like you should sit down and talk through feature requirements to come up with an estimate. If you think he’s just dreaming throw out a ballpark to customize an existing script fully and see how he responds.
Dating sites can be very complex but it’s no more insane than saying you want to sell stuff online. The basics take some work and the options never stop.
Note: I’m assuming you build sites rather than market / operate / manage them given the request.
