Customising text for a logo

I want to tweak some text for a logo.

  • Remove the vertical bar from an E so its just 3 horizontal lines.
  • Remove the horizontal bar from an A.

What is the best way to do this and the best software to use?

Sounds very simple but its hard to say without seeing the logo. I would say the best software is what ever you have as I assume you are not going to buy some especially to do it. But again without seeing the logo its hard to say.

Or are you talking about modifying a font to put on the logo and it is not already on the logo?

Its modifying a font. It could be arial, helvetica or whatever.

You could try Font forge which is free - I have never used it.

I think you should try professional desktop publishing software. It is very helpful or you can Google it by yourself and pick one which is most suitable for you.
