Designing for Android - strange orientation symptom?

Hi there,

I’m currently working on a mobile version of my portfolio and have come across a very strange problem which only occurs on Android. I have a number of images set to 100% within the Jquery-based iOSSlider plugin which suddenly get cropped when the orientation changes from portrait to landscape and then back to portrait. When I try out the site in normal portrait mode, however, it appears correctly - it only happens when I change the orientation.

On the iPhone the images look perfect and correctly change to fill the screen when flipping from portrait, landscape and back and forth. The Android phone I’m trying it out on is an HTC Desire using the standard, built-in browser.

Any ideas why this could be occuring? I always thought 100% was universal…apparently not!

Cheers,

I noticed on their website that it only lists partial support for android: http://www.iosscripts.com/iosslider/

See if there are any solutions in their support forum: https://github.com/iosscripts/iosSlider/issues
