Determining Website Fonts

How do I easily determine what Font a website is using in a particular section?

(This may sound like a dumb question, but some many website out there are a pile of crap, and looking at the HTML/CSS is so convoluted, it could take an hour to figure things out - at least in my experience…)

Sincerely,

Debbie

Hi,

Use WhatFont Tool which is available as a bookmarklet, or a Chrome or safari extension.

Yep, that bookmarklet is great … although it’s not hard to right click on an element, choose Inspect Element and look at the CSS font declaration that goes with it.

That’s pretty neat. Thank you!

Debbie

P.S. I’ll assume that this Add-On is secure

If you use the bookmarklet, then it is just a case of your browser executing regular JavaScript, which is more secure than installing an extension.
This is the way to go if security is a major concern for you.

“WhatFont Tool” is the easiest way to find out the fonts used in a webpage.

WhatFont Tool is great.
