I want to use a plugin like WP-touch-Pro to create a obile version of a wordpress site.
The problem is that I have lots of articles and each articles has about three different graphics (diagrams, illustrations, charts etc.) that will probably be failry large.
Is it possible for me to have the mobile site use smaller versions of the graphics or not use any graphics at all?

You may want to find a mobile-friendly wordpress template that uses CSS3 media queries to control content using CSS. I've developed such a template, but it does not have any documentation and I use it to as an adaptable skeleton for any layout that I have to do using wordpress so it remains accessible and adapts to varying screen sizes.
If you want I will share this template with you, but it is a bit of tough sledding.
