I’m sorry to disillusion you, but it won’t. Any links which are easy to get/make yourself are effectively worthless. What you need is to ensure your site has great content which people will want to link to of their own accord. These links are much harder to get - because they require you to have high quality, original content - and are therefore much more valuable.
Guest blogging - rather than simply commenting on someone else’s post - may help, but forget about building backlinks and concentrate on your content.
