Does FireFTP store password in an encrypted form?

Hi everyone,

I moved from Filezilla to FireFTP because Filezilla stores passwords in clear and I heard FireFTP doesn’t. Is that true? In all cases, how hard is it for a hacker to access the password stored by FireFTP?

Yes you are right FireFTP is more secure than Filezilla because it support SSL/TLS/SFTP, same encryption used with online banking and shopping and its very hard to hack the password for that you can also use Filezilla but don’t save your passwords in Fillezilla, rather use a password safe instead. The obvious disadvantage of this approach is that you have to enter your password manually every time you need to connect to your site.
