Does Such A Thing Exist? Drop-In Content on A Timer

Hi All,

I’m just wondering if such a thing has already been created:

I’m a designer who is interested in putting a DIV at the top of a page that slides down from the top (like a tab), on a timer. It is hidden until it slides in.

Has such a thing already been developed?

Part of my question also deals with which technology to use as I believe the net result could be accomplished by either jQuery, Javascript or maybe even DHTML?

I forgot to mention that once it’s dropped in, it should stay.

Anyone know of a good framework?

I’ve found content sliders for rotating content, but nothing like what I’m looking for.

Any help would truly be appreciated.
