I hope someone can help me on this. The question is, is it possible to receive an e-mail when you are sent a message from a facebook group?
I recently setup a fan page for a company. Their competitor is using a Facebook group. Being part of their competitor group (via individual accounts), they get emails whenever a 'group' message is sent. Its your typical 'you have a facebook message' type email.

How is this done? I do not get e-mails being part of other groups. I have checked my notifications settings and everything is ON. I have also setup a test group, got a couple of friends to join, and tried sending a message. They get something in their facebook inbox, but no e-mail letting them know about it. I've read the facebook help pages and there's no mention that you get e-mails from groups.
I've noticed that I don't get email notifications from myself, only from others. I think the "group" emails depend on whether or not the message is posted to the "public".
What do you mean if a message is posted to the public? I cant see this option.
I looked around some to find exactly what the steps and wording were, but darned if I can find it again. Maybe I saw it somewhere else and my memory's faulty or maybe they changed it with the last design change. In any case, I gather from the help pages that you should probably submit a report to http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delivery_delay
If it has been more than 24 hours since you first tried sending a message or invitation to your group and members have still not received it
If they got the message but not an email notification, maybe they were online at the time and it cancelled the email send?
