Nice site. I would also suggest adding my site. It is updated alot with new flash tutorials and sometimes swift 3D tutorials.
Nice list.
Question for you all. I’m a 100% Noob at Flash, and I keep on getting recruiters calling asking if I know it, and it’s more frustrating every time I have to say “nope, sorry”.
My first step is to install the free stuff on my XP machine - in other words, have the ability to compile/create something in Flash, before I even want to entertain a tutorial on Actionscript or anything else.
So my questoin is: Is the best link to follow, this one below ? :
I found this link under the “Tutorial” section in the first post of this excellent thread and clicked on the “ActionScript” link where there were a bunch of resources there and then found the “Towards Open Source Flash Development” link.
At this point, I don’t really want to know about Frameworks, or OO Dev’t for Flash, etc… Just want to write something in Flash, so that I could pass an Interview, and then be able to write ActionScript for an employer. That be all.
Thanks. My question, to sum up, is: would this link be a good one i.e. downloading Eclipse and all the tools on that page?

Update
I joined the “osflash” mailing list, and posted a similar question on how to get started programming Flash on windows, with free tools and got this response:
To start developing with only os tools, the following tools might be of interrested :
As an IDE you can use :
Eclipse + ASDT (as2)
Flashdevelop (as2/as3)
As a compiler you can use :
Flex 2 SDK (actionscript 3)
MTASC (actionscript 2)
In case anyone here wants to join:
osflash mailing list
osflash@osflash.org

Another update:
is a probably better link for starting out completely new with ActionScript on Win platform
Excellent list. I would like to tag on http://megaswf.com which provides free swf hosting. Also, the swfobject folks recently uploaded v2.0 to http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/ and v1.5 remains on the blog.
Lee Brimelow (Author of gotoAndLearn.com ) also has a blog about Flash related topics - http://theflashblog.com/
Thanx M40_
