Finally! We have scheduled the vBulletin upgrade for 4pm this Sunday PST and estimate 4 hours downtime. Apologies for the inconvenience but we'll be back all shiny and new.

Let us know when it is official. Before a Full Moon I hope something doesn't go sour. It's Sunday here.

That's Sunday 4PM Pacific Standard Time.
Sarah said four hours from now, an hour ago. That means we have three more to go.

I was kinda counting on Featured to bring stuff from sections most don't visit up to the general population's attention.

I don't want to replicate this post, but I feel totally the same... I liked the old layout (and usability) much more for the same reasons... I agree that we always have to improve things, but I also think we should not change things that DO WORK. Hope I'll get used to the new layout a.s.a.p. and that some usability-improvements are also on their way.

Is this the feedback thread now?
It's great. Take a wee bit of getting used to, but it's much cleaner and seems markedly faster.
I gotta fish for a criticism here...
A-ha; the "flag post" rollover image didn't get onLoaded properly or something...
****, that autosave is freaking awesome, although I can't say I got much love for the lack of

Both the "Featured Posts" and left-side menu that you refer to were plugins that don't work in vBulletin 4 so need to be rewritten. Due to the urgent nature of the upgrade we decided to go ahead without them. We'll definitely do something about the menu but I'm still thinking on the featured posts.

Be be 100% honest I don't think the layout is as efficient or functional as it was before. I have to scroll way more now to get to the forum I want, when before the tree menu on the left was a quick couple of clicks at most to get where I want.
It's good that the theme matches the rest of the site, but the size and font plus fixed column layout make everything seem more squashed, in my opinion.
I could see how this layout would be more functional for different types of user agents, but as a standard layout not as good as before.
Also, there seems to be some weird word-wrap thing going on with this text box, and where are highlighted discussions? That was a great feature, I hope it makes it back, or maybe I just missed it in this layout.
Colour scheme is nice.
*edited for typos

It's nice - I like it. Only thing is that I tried logging in on the boxes at the top, and was told incorrect information, tried again on the 'login' page and it worked. Same details were used both times as it was autotyped from my password manager!

Oh, and the favicon hasn't changed still...
