Good day all. I’m looking for a good free(javascript) image slider that has captions,
next and previous buttons and that can be set to autoplay.
And very importantly - has transition effects e.g dissolve, fade etc.

There are dozens, if not hundreds of them to choose from, do a web search for “jquery image slider” and take your pick

Thanks, I thought nivo slider was not free but on checking the site again I found a link to a free jquery plugin.
Just what I need.
Only the WordPress plugin costs money, the jQuery one is completely free
