Getting error when using phpmailer

I am trying to send a quote through my website and I am getting an error when I try.

Server reported an error: -ERR Authentication failed.

SMTP -> ERROR: RCPT not accepted from server: SMTP -> ERROR: DATA command not accepted from server: SMTP -> ERROR: SMTP server rejected quit command:

Any ideas of why this would come up?

The server expects you to supply a username and password in order to send emails, but you either did not supply them, or if you did you supplied the wrong ones.
