.gif quality issue

dear peoples,

please view:
Bijouterie Wagner | Horlogerie | Luxembourg .:. Votre adresse pour bijoux, montres, réparations, créations .:. spésialisé en Tag Heuer

and please help me make this .gif animation look better, without those “lines” in the back… in Frieworks it looks fine, but when uploading I don’t seem to get the setting right…

thanks in advance,

Roy

Perhaps you can make the background transparent? So the background gradient on the page shows through?

Other than that, GIF is limited to 256 colours, which means it’s not really possible to do gradients on them.

i tried to take away the background, in order to have just the logo & diamond, and the rest see through… still i seem not to find the right settings to display it nice and crisp…

any other ideas?

Roy

Use a swf.

Yeah, if it still isn’t being displayed clearly, you’ll need to use a SWF file instead.

The GIF colour palette is just too limited for what you want to do with it.

would anyone volunteer to create a swf for me? as i have no flash knowledge whatsoever

?

Roy

My advice would be to lose the animation and use a .png. That kind of animation looks 1990s to me.
