Guideline for 1 Year PHP Developer

Hello Guys I am the one year experienced PHP developer , so I need to ask that how to grow up more in PHP and related technology which will better for me or I should move for other languages because many people telling that PHP is not secure and PHP does not have good salaries , Big MNCs are not working In PHP

To improve as a PHP developer, read http://www.phptherightway.com.

PHP is as secure as all the other languages, i.e. it’s down to the skill of the developer (and eventually, the cracker). Modern PHP usage has good security practices baked in (escaping MySQL queries, for example). You’ll need to read up if you’re creating a system with any kind of secure layer. Developer salaries in the UK are fairly good, and in the US they’re better. It all depends on your location but also on what you offer.

Are you employed full-time working in an environment invested in a PHP workflow?

In regards to earning potential I would say PHP is on par with the rest of the web based stack. However, if you were to compare the salary to that of Big Data and perhaps embedded software there would be a medium sized difference. Especially with anything related to dig data because that is all the rage right now.

Also employers seem to have hard ones right now for all the latest and greatest JavaScript frameworks like Ember, Angular, etc. However, that is more or less a front-end role rather than “programming”. Not as significant as big data and embedded software but the earning potential seems to be a “reasonable” increase.

Having said that I think unless you were to get into embedded software or big data PHP is one par with everything else. There is SO much PHP stuff out there the scene is unlikely to change anytime soon.
