I have just purchased the book ’ build your own web site the right way 2nd edition ’ and i am struggling a bit. Page 31 where you have to type out the text, save it, and open in your browser does’nt seem to work. The text only appears as ive written it and not as a web page, can anyone please help me?

Do you use Notepad for that?

Thanks for replying to my forum and the answer is yes i am using notepad, any suggestions or is it blindingly obvious!

You have to use “save as” and choose not txt format of the file (but “all the files”). Than write your name of the file with html extension (for example index.html).
But make new file now, don’t change the old one.
