I am new in web-design. I know that color plays an important in web design. I have learnt from "The Principles of Beatufiul Web Design (Jason Beaird)" that using www.colorschemedesigner.com is a good place for deciding on colors.
But in that site, the site produces a total of 12 colors on my chosen scheme. But I saw no site using 12 colors as color palette. I don't to how to choose colors. I always have to scratch my head to choose harmonious color palette:(:(
Can you give me suggestions on how to choose color palette (especially from the 12 colors produced by colorschemedesigner).

You do not have to use all of the colors a color picker chooses for you. In fact, you don't have to use any of them. They are suggestions. If you want to choose which of the 12 colors to use, your only real option is trial and error.
Another popular color picker is Adobe's Kuler (Flash based). That picker seems to choose only 5 colors. Maybe you might have an easier time with that.
