Does anyone know where I can get hold of a horizontal version (or something very similar that works horizontally) of the vertical jquery based parallax script at the Nike Better World website?
It also needs to have navigation, maybe like the dots on the Nike script, but obviously along the bottom probably in the footer, to allow for gentle "easing" navigation between slides.
I've found a few vertical ones based on the Nike script but nothing that works horizontally with an inbuilt navigation from panel to panel.

Maybe http://www.magictoolbox.com/magicslideshow/ might work for you. It doesn't need the thumbnails, but can work with "dots" if you wish along the top.

Here's one: Background Parallax Example
And here's one that uses a CSS mouse-over to achieve the effect: CSS 3D Meninas

It looks good but his instructions are virtually non-existent unfortunately...

The page says:
The jQuery Background Parallax project is a plugin that causes a background image to scroll at a different speed to content, giving an illusion of depth.
Which is pretty much self-explanatory. If instead you want multiple layers with different images overlapping each other at different visual perspectives, that plugin is not for you.

Ah, sounds like it's not really what I need then- as I want something very close to the Nike effect. Thanks anyway.

The series of demos at the following location seem to be closer to what you're after
Ultimately though, what Nike has come up with there takes some clever engineering to look as good as it does there.

Thanks, I will take a look
