How could I earn from my Forum

Dear All,

I know that some of you here are experienced web developers.

I have built a new forum and I already have a decent amount of traffic.

But the thing that I have been intensively thinking about lately is how to earn my money from my forum. The forum is a Soccer betting forum basically. Should I go for google ads for example?

I would honestly appreciate any of your suggestions

You could start with Google Ads. Don’t get discouraged since first two weeks are not the real representation how much you can make from Adwords. You can insert additional banners from alternative advertisers. No one is making advertise just with Google, but keep in mind that more than 3 ads is usually way too much and you might get penalized by Google if your overload your website with ads.

There are several ways to earn money from forum. such as google adsense, direct advertisers and premium CPM advertising, newsletter sponsorships, premium membership and forum sponsorship.

We cannot suggest the best way to monetize a soccer betting forum unless one of us here is your competitor. Also, to let us provide suggestions with better context, you should give us a range on the amount of traffic that your forum is receiving rather than labeling as “decent”.

Anyway, judging from your replies, I guess walking you through the different types of ads monetization methods is best for now.
