How much do adult websites earn?

I’ve never had adult websites. Just interesting, how much do adult websites with exclusive content earn?

I’m talking about many websites with a lot of pictures and videos of just one model. These websites sell membership for $14-40 per month and usually they aren’t well promoted.

I dont know myself either, but if you go ahead with it, you can also get affiliate links to other sites which usually (apparently) get you a lot! I remember seeing one offering $1 per click, even if the user left straight away! Now with posessed pornoholics, they’ll more than likely click anything with a woman on it so you’d generate a lot of clicks…

With just one model? If you have found a particular model and you have a unique edge about it, you could easily make thousands. There are some very successful sites like these. Most of them are actually owned by that particular model.

If you are talking about picking a model and purchasing exclusive content, it will be a little harder because the exclusivity of that model’s pictures are going to cost you much more, also you will be limited in photos to what she has already done, unlike the above example where you can shoot more pics any time you want.

Your price range is correct, it all depends on how you want to market your site. Go for the cheaper price and get more users? Or go with a higher price with fewer users. I would offer a slightly higher price and do alot of promotions and specail offers, to make it seem like everyone is getting a good deal.

After re-reading your post, I’m not sure I know what you mean by having hundreds of sites. Are you talking about haveing hundreds of different sites with say, just Pamala Anderson pics on it?

Making money in adult is notoriously hard, and often people enter the arena with cash tinted glasses, only to find they have bitten off more than they can chew!

Single model sites can make nothing or a nice monthly income for a while, but don’t expect to retire with the proceeds from one site. Also these type of sites tend to have a limited shelf life because models often give up or move on after a year or two.

Pay sites with exclusive content generally sell better than generic sites, even so profit margins can be very tight.

I thought most adult sites/programs work off of CPA sign-ups. No?

Do you have real numbers (or you know where I can look at such websites’ real income)?

I’m talking about exclusive model.

No, I’m talking about just one website of exclusive model.

I was making in one stage around 1000 per month but now it is worse. I am used to have only celebrity sites and use celebrity affiliate programs. If you are interested see my sig.

Did you have one model’s website? How much did you have members and how much was membership price?

It is only simple celebrity site with some popular celebrities… If you are lucky or good you get godd SE traffic and than it is easy to make money.
But at the present it is harder.

Well, it’s not the same. I’m interested in one model porn websites exclusive. Does anyone have such kind of website(s)?

Check out the big adult webmaster boards. Read around a bit and you should get a better idea of what adult websites earn.

Thanks. I will.

One earns $500,000 every two weeks…

I don’t know about any other website…but generally, they make a lot.

Nice. Do you have link to this info?

I just had to reply. I havent posted here in quite a long time,

I’m not trying to be rude here, but I do wish to answer your questions & help you.

Yes, you can make money with porn, however, it is not a get rich quick scheme. If you’re serious, you’re going to need some serious financial backing. You can not host an adult site on a measly virtual host… You will need a dedicated server. You also need DRM, you need to watermark your images, you need an attorney as well… You need to very aware of the laws such as obscenity laws, 18 usc 2257, HR4472, etc & keep meticulous records. You need password protection software such as strongbox, you need a payment processor & you need to purchase traffic as well… you will also need an affiliate backend & tracking software…
To put it simply, you need MINIMUM 10K+ to even get started.

& yes, bangbros does make serious cake, but that is after YEARS of work… They have member retention… ie: members who rebill their subscription…

Most people that think they can just jump in & make pornsites & earn fast cash are really setting themselves up for dissapointment, There’s alot more to it than building pages & putting it online. If you make any errors legal wise, you’re pretty much screwed & up the creek.

now, that applies to a membership based site,

Now, let’s get to promoting other peoples sites… like bangbus… should you go to bangbus affiliate program & join, now you need to send traffic to them & hope you make sales & earn $$, again, good luck…

Thanks to all the idiots with dollar signs in their eyes, the market is over saturated with advertisements to all porn sites… You will be competing with nearly 6 million other websites that have the same advertisements… This is not 1996 anymore… You are too late to just jump in without knowing the ropes & it will take you alot of time to learn those skills of marketing to an adult audience… It is an extremely competitive & very cutthroat industry… You need to be wary of cheaters, scammers, thieves, liars & more…

If you have a few thousand to jump in & take a risk & have no fear of the fbi knocking on your door to check records, or are clear that the local sheriff wont slap you with obscenity, go right ahead…

There is money to be made, but it takes serious investment & time, & knowledge & a **** load of patience… most people wont see their first check or payment for at least, minimum 90 days.

I have no problem with all that stuff, I have experience with DRM, billing, I have dedicated servers etc.

But what are these laws about (I’m not US citizen, so I never heard about these laws)?

You only need to obey the laws of your own country, and the country where your servers are located.

Someone suggested visiting some adult webmaster forums, you will get a lot more useful information there.

i have a buddy that uses the ifriends system to live web chats with girls he has. he does quite well for himself i must say.

Those are called solo model sites. At one time, they were very easy to make good $$$ from, but that was 6 or 7 years ago. You can still do it, but it is much harder. I know of one later comer to the game, the guy behind Raven Riley which is about three years old, but he had the traffic and business contacts already in place to make that site a success. If you were going to start now, I suggest a niche solo girl site, like a fetish theme or something similar, because the competition is slightly less stiff in niche.

Are you completely new to the adult internet game? You have picked the worst time to enter, because now there are 2257 regulations meaning that you need to keep copies of model IDs and releases available at all times to the government at an office open from 9 to 5 if you plan to shoot all original content for a solo girl site.

Everyone likes to invoke the success story of BangBros (they are also connected to Nasty Dollars). The real story is that the people behind the company started off in internet porn in the mid 90s, when it was all starting. They owned a vast number of free adult sites and directories; one was the very well known Sublime Directory. When they started their affiliate program, they already had traffic, mailing lists of webmasters to promote their program, and saavy.

I know a guy who makes around $15-20 million a year off a network of solo girl sites.

[ don’t bother asking for info cause I won’t give it, he is behind the scenes and wouldn’t want me telling people about him ]

But he has a network of I think 19 or 20 solo girl sites, a few of the most popular.

He spent YEARS building up traffic, owns over 1,000 different free gallery posts which all link to one another but have different content. When he had finally built up the traffic, and actually found the girls for the sites, he went off hunting for venture capital on them. He got the backing quickly from 3 VERY huge corprations (that have nothing to do with adult stuff, and we’re talking big corporation, like Fortune 25 big) they still have a steak in the whole thing, and take like 15% off the top.

But it took many years to actually make things happened. He had been working on it, and had the business model in place for over 10 years before it hit it off.
