How to add sliding images in wordpress page?

I want to use header with sliding images. Please advice how to achieve this without plugin.

How much experience do you have with HTML, CSS and JavaScript? There are lots of free gallery scripts out there that you can work into your templates, such as jQuery Cycle and [URL=“http://css-tricks.com/3412-anythingslider-jquery-plugin/”]Anything Slider that are worth a look.
