How to change dynamic url to static url

I have a website in joomla but all inner pages have dynamic url for example (index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=35&Itemid=185). But I want to change it in static url. I have read many online forum and article but unable to understand. Guys can you please help me to fix it.

I had this issue some years back when Joomla was all the rage. Don’t use it anymore though I had to download another extension specifically designed to fix the url problem. Its been awhile since I used Joomla maybe this is something you can fix this in the administration settings with the latest version.

Thanks barry But I have one more question after reading this post that shared by you. I dont have FTP for this site and want to create can you please how to create it because I think .htaccess file will be uploaded in FTP server.
