Welcome to SitePoint's Apache forum!
mod_speling is a module which is included in Apache distributions and can be activated by UNcommenting the LoadModule which references mod_speling.

There is no LoadModule reference to mod_speling in my httpd.conf.
Is there a way to install it in?

I'm running Apache 2.2.9 on my test server (XP SP3) and the module is in the C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\modules directory. It's also in httpd.conf in the line "LoadModule speling_module modules/mod_speling.so" (they are listed in alphabetical order).
If you're using Linux, get the compilation instructions at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/install.html then review http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.1/mod/mod_speling.html
