How to re-associate swf files with flash player?

I know one can right click on an swf and associate it to flash player.
Doesn’t work on my Windows Vista. There’s no flash player to associate with when I right-click and choose properties, and when I right-click, and click on ‘open with’, I don’t see the Flash Player anywhere in Program Files either. I know I have a flash player because my swf’s were associated with it and played well, until the unfortunate moment of downloading SWF Optimizer(trial), it messed my swf associations.

Any suggestions please?

The two options that I know about:

  1. Right click my computer - click on “explore” - tools - folder options - file types - find the “.swf” extension - click change - select internet explorer, firefox, opera or what ever browser you use.

  2. While you have your browser open, select file - open file - and browse to the swf file you want to open.

Flash player files can be played in just about any browser that supports flash.

That’s exactly is what i’ve done for the time being, its being played in Firefox. But I would like the swf’s to play in Flash Player.
