anybody please tell me how we track e-commerce websites ?
You need to create a account on the Google Analytic and then follow the given instruction to complete the account. Google will provides you a code that you have to upload on the all the webpages of the website. After you will place the code on the webpages, you can easily track the website for the visitors and what they are searching for?
Just open account on Google analytic with your gmail id. Find tracking code and paste it on each pages which you want to track.
For tracking code, you only need to set a tracking code on thank-you page on which visitors are directed after completing the transactions. In this code, you need to fill some details. Now, in Analytics, you need to set goal for sale completion, which will provide you information that how many sales you made. Regarding revenue generated by these sales and product sold you can get information in E-commerce option.
For more information about visitor interaction on your site while completing a transaction you can set funnel, which will provide you information that where you are losing your visitors.
