A moment ago a question popped up into my head, as a newbie on this forum I can’t seem to find a moderator I can message that question to.
So maybe it would be a good idea to make one of the moderators your friend by default when you sign up for the forum. Just so you have a person to contact if you have question.

No need to “friend” a moderator.
You can use Quick Links -> View Forum Leaders and PM anyone you like.
As long as you’ve read the FAQ and are asking a forum related question I think most will be happy to help answer.
And you could Search and start a thread (like this one) if you can’t find an answer.
If you look at the bottom of “Home” and “Forum” you’ll see a list of names of who’s online, Orange = Mentor, Green = Advisor, Blue = Team Leader, Red = Administrator

actually what is the need of friends in the sitepoint
There is an option to only accept PMs from friends (and moderators - ie Advisors and above) and not from all forum members. If you configure your account that way then anyone not on your friend list and who isn’t an advisor or team leader cannot send you a PM.
