Take a look at this page:

If you look in filefox you will see an image of a man. However when viewing this in IE7/8 the image doesnt show up.
Any ideas why?

The JPEG is probably saved using the CMKY color profile, which IE doesn’t understand.
Convert the JPEG to the RGB color profile and IE will play nice again.
That is exactly the problem, viz.

Do you have photoshop?
If so, open the image, in the menu select image > mode > RGB
save, and done
