We have a database where we want to include characters like . " $ % into the fulltext. I originally thought of replacing these with “word equivalents” but then found out you can create a new character set and include these as word characters.
However, I’m finding the documentation on the character sets quite confusing and I’m lost as to what I should be changing to make those characters part of the FT index (and it it will then work as well as I am hoping it will…)
Has anyone done something like this before?
