I am building a rich media ad creation tool and I was wondering if CPA/affiliate marketers will use it.
More sophisticated marketers are already using videos, Facebook, etc to market products and I am thinking of embedding lots of web “components” within the RMA tool.
This tool will generate a Javascript code and serves out the ad units on websites.
So, marketers can use my studio to create interactive RMA units that can embed multiple components such as:
Well i guess there are many such affiliate sites which offer interactive media ads, however i would like to know that why and how is your affiliate tool different from others and what does it offer which others don’t. You’ll have to work hard to promote your tool, else i don’t find any possibility that your tool can penetrate into online marketing.
If, by rich media, you mean animations, video, sound, flashing lights and constantly changing images, I suspect that most people find them intensely irritating. They’re the main reason users install ad blockers, or disable animations, or switch off Flash.
True, we all enjoy watching amusing or informative videos from time to time. And sometimes a well-designed animation can enhance a site. But nobody wants to have them constantly pushed before their eyes. In advertising, they are counter-productive.
I’ve always thought it’s a pity that Google Adsense allows publishers to choose between showing text ads and graphics / rich media ads, but it doesn’t allow them to choose between static images and rich media. This is the main reason I choose to show text-only ads. I hate rich media ads on the sites that I visit, and I assume my own visitors would hate them on my sites.
