If you access someone’s wifi network without their permission, then it’s technically illegal.
However, if they give you permission, then it’s fine.
Check your service providers’ terms of service, it may be a breach of the contract you signed with them. And of course if anything illegal is done on your network, the buck stops at you.
Thank you for the posts. What about the particular service I mentioned, that helps you find the sharing - anything wrong with this in itself?
No idea, I didn’t dig into it.
However–because of potential liability issues, there is no way I would allow strangers onto my wireless network.
