JQuery CSS Layout Switcher with firefox 4

Going through JQuery Novice to Ninja and looking at the layout switcher example in Chapter 3. It works with IE, but not with Firefox. With firefox it greys out the screen upon window resize and you have to close the browser. When you restart the browser it offers to restore your last session, which infers it has crashed. Anyone else know anything about this issue?

My Firefox 7 (Windows 7 64-bit) stops responding when I resize the Firefox window. I have to use Windows Task Manager to close/reopen Firefox.

The example works fine with Internet Explorer IE 9.

Update: Example also works OK with Google Chrome 15 under Windows 7 (64-bit).

Works fine for me in Firefox 7 (Mac).
