Chris, SgtLegend sounds rather like a Rockstar name to me, and it seems you are a becoming a legend from looking at your posts within the SPF.

It’s nice to see you are still developing your skills and still pushing the boundaries and shaping your future in a way that you want and losing the shyness. Also you seem to enjoy helping others which is usually a good sign and that is a reward in itself.

Perseverance, again is a skill you need with forums because you meet all kinds of individuals with various mixes of knowledge and you seem to bounce of that. Quite an interesting and in-depth read and like your signature [currently] says you appreciate positive feedback for your helpful contributions.

Thankee

Thanks xhtmlcoder, its funny you say that because I’m also a fan of GTA :p. I always try to take time during the day to just simply browse around the development world and find new things that make our world better.

I also somehow manage to work on my personal projects, help others and still have a personal life in between so its a surprise that i can even stay awake anymore :).

My signature i wanted to make welcoming and to me it felt right that if my contributions were helpful that a +1 said more for me then what words can.

I’m also a fan of the GTA series. I wish they would fix the graphics engine for GTA4 as even on a powerful machine it can run sluggish. I used to hate the motorbike chase missions and would turn the traffic levels down but now I turn the traffic levels up, it makes it far harder to chase down whoever your chasing

I was going to keep quiet about this but since there is interest in improving the graphics, I read today about a GTA4 graphics mod called IceEnhancer 1.2 which provides a very pretty graphics engine update.

Thanks for the share Paul, going to try it out tonight and hope my graphics card doesn’t give out.

Congratulations man, I am new to this forum and this is my first post on this forum. I want to say you people Helloooooooo. I hope next month I’ll be member of the month…hahaha:-)

Thank Johnwilli and welcome to SitePoint.

Paul & SgtLegend do you think they could have done the installers for “The Ballad of Gay Tony” and “The Lost and Damned” better. AFAIK when you install either it treats either as a whole new game. I would have though it would have been better for the installers for either to see if GTA4 was already installed and it it is installed then they just install any bits that are different (the three games must use the same of so many aspects of the coding).

Congrats Chris!

My impression is that the scourge of console gaming devices is responsible for this reprehensible lack of flexibility in such expansions.

Congratulations Chris:award: very nice interview:)

That is something i wonder about all the time and not just with GTA, it makes no sense that all 3 games use the same maps, cars and characters but you need to install the game 3 times just to play it. I had GTA IV on my Xbox 360 before i got it on PC and getting patches was simple, never had to worry about installations or anything so i guess the PC developers thought they would like to do things differently.
